Bios FlashCrash

My optiflex gx280 Intel pentium 4 2.8 Ghz is not responding any more.
I tried to flash the bios from A03 to A06.
My dell was restarting en not responding any more for long time.
Idecided to shutdown the pc manualy.
When i switch the pc on i hear 9 beeps that seems the bios is not working any more.

My question is is there a solution to fix this without shipping the MB to dell.
for example an recovery tool or something like that.

Only think I can think of it jumper the motherboard with the RTCRST. Move the PSWD jumper to the RTCRST Pins and wait about 30 seconds and then boot. If no avail, you will have to have a motherboard replaced. If it does work, try flashing to A05 and then A06. By the way, what are the back led lights on the system and do you get video or not? Also what color is the front power led?

You find find out where the jumpers are on this system by visiting the link below. Your chassis type depends on where it is located.

How to Clear CMOS

Locate the password (PSWD) and CMOS (RTC_RST) jumpers on the system board.

I just had one go out on me like this. I was trying to solve an issue with BSOD Stop 0x9f on shutdown or when system goes into stand by. After flashing, I was getting a 3-1-2 beep and yygg. The mem is good, tried in another system, but couldn't get the system to post. Tried the jumper on the MB to no avail, had to have the MB replaced.

kamits,
you are probably looking at a bad board. Id try reseating the processor and see if that changes anything. If no, the YYGG on the back indicate a memory problem and stating that it isnt detected. If after reseating the processor, you have no change, remove the memory and power on to see if you get beep codes. If you dont, you have a bad motherboard. If you do, you probably have more than 1 stick of memory, hence try narrowing it down to either 1 stick or the other or one of the slots on the motherboard. Trying the memory in another system is always a good troubleshooting step.

Good Luck
Mike
