Blue Screen, CD failed, hard drive failed

Probably due to three blackouts in a row (due to my microwave oven, not my computer), my XPS 600 started giving me the blue screen, with the UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME message.

I tried to change the starting sequence at the BIOS, but then I realized that my CD is also not working.

When I performed DELL's diagnostic test I received the following messages:
Hard Drive Drive 0: Samsung HD160JJ - Fail. Return Code: 7
CD Error Code 0F00: 286E MSG: Optical Drive BIST - OPU test failed.
DVD and USB are working fine.

I tried to reboot the computer using XP system CD, but did not work. Tried to use the USB making it bootable, did not work. I can not see the DVD unit in the booting sequence.

I've read other board messages and all could have been initiated by Daemon Tools, speficially D347BUS.SYS.

Can someone help me? How could I boot form the DVD?

First, replace the failed hard drive. It may be the cause of the other error message.

Thanks.

Almost solved. I had to change the plugs and put the DVD as if it were the CD. Then I used the XP recovery CD. Then chkdsk /r. Fianlly I uninstalled Daemon.

I did not loose any files.

The only thing left that does not work is the CD.
