Bluetooth Keyboard LED light

Can anybody with the Bluetooth keyboard tell me when the blue LED light should be on? I can find no documention. I believe it should stay on steady whenever the Caps Lock or Num Lock keys are hit. Sometimes mine will flash once when Caps Lock or Num Lock key is hit for ON-or light may do nothing at all.

I do get a short 2 second info box at Task Bar which tells condition (ON or OFF) when the keys (incl Scroll Lock) are hit.

Sounds like your keyboard sometimes reset itself, maybe you need to replace the battery's on the keyboard.

My bluetooth keyboard light only illuminates upon initial connection establishment. The first time I strike a key following re-boot or sleep, it illuminates but nothing further afterwards. I was puzzled about this myself at first, but my research tells me this is normal operation.

The blue light on your physical on-board bluetooth controller should remain illuminated whenever the computer is on.

You are right but I don't know how to make the thread show the Prob Solved icon. Talking with a Dell tech today about other probs and the light will only show momentarily a Bluetooth connection being made if the pc doing a new start or such. I was just expecting the light to show full time (like my W98 W-xp keyboards) if the Locks are ON but thats not its purpose.

Thanks to you all who respond.

When the batteries went dead in my keyboard, I replaced them and now the blue light stays on, but will not connect. The connect to bluetooth reset button has no effect. Anyone have a similar experience?
