Boot From a USB Hard Drive in an enclosure

I have a 2004 Dell Dimension with Windows XP. Is it possible to boot from a USB drive on this model? Thanks to all who can answer. Mr Kelso

On the older models, No. To check, reboot, and press F12 at boot, to view your boot options, and look to see if it is giving your the USB option.

really depends on the exact model  GX260 for example does not have this with bios A00 but does with A09
