Boot problem with my Dimension 9150

Hi, My Dell Dimension 9150 doesn't boot. I tried to solve the problem myself going the Advanced Troubleshooting page to find the different meaning of the pattern of diagnotic lights. http://support2.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/dim9150/en/sm/adtshoot.htm#wp1054184 My problem is that I couldn't find there my actual light pattern that is 1-4. Does anybody know what may be the trouble with my computer according to this light pattern? Thanks! J-David

Hi JD.  Not all light patterns are published in every set of documentation, just the most common ones.  Someone may have a link to the full set of readouts--sorry, I don't.

I can tell you this much--it's not the power supply.  The diagnostic lights won't work at all with a bad power supply.  It's also not a drive, the code for that is 000X/GGGY.  You might remove all plug-in cards and see if anything changes.  If inserting a particular card creates that code, the card is bad.

If removing cards changes nothing, the general conclusion is that it's a chipset failure.
