CD ROM NOT VISIBLE

Hi All.

Today i fitted a second HDD into my DELL PRECISION 380 Desktop pc.. Turned the pc on, and windows found the new HDD immediateley. The problem i have now is that the pc does not show the CD ROM icon in the "Control Panel" page, nor in the "System Device" page. On pessing F2 at start up the BIOS drives screen reads "no cd rom present"  what have i done wrong ?

Can anyone help ?

CDROM must be set to cable select if it has an IDE cable.

Thats what the Grey Cable with Red stripe is.

Cable Select is a Jumper.  on the back of the drive.

I suspect the jumper is MASTER or Worse Slave and so the jumper needs to be moved to CS.

If its already at CS then the cable is loose, power is loose, or the drive is physically BAD and must be replaced.
