CMOS error
I have a 1GHz Dimension 4100 running W2K. Whenever
I start up, I get an error message that says "CMOS GPNV CHEKSUM BAD HIT DEL TO ENTER SETUP" I have tried to change the CMOS battery but it didn't work. I also have scanned for virus, and reseted the CMOS, but it didn't
work. Could it be the motherboard? If not, then what else should I do?

Hi,
That error means that you have got troubles in river city.
E-mail or call Dell and request a new motherboard. I hope your warranty is still in effect.
