The E510 has the integrated audio (on the motherboard) but if you wan to use a separate sound card, you can install a PCI sound card and disable the integrated audio in the BIOS.  However, you will not have the front panel headset/mic capability.

What is the problem with the integrated audio?  Maybe we can help.

Interesting. I successfully installed the SoundBlaster Audigy SE sound card. It has a special connector that connects the card to the audio and mic on the front panel of my E510 tower. So this sound card actually does support the front panel headset / mic. I verified this by connecting some Apple earbuds to the headset on the front panel and listened to some music. I guess it all depends on the sound card.
