Can't upgrade drivers for AMD HD6450.

This is really strange. I have 2 separate machines. An inspiron 546S and a Vostro 200. I started on the Vostro, put in the new card and it seemed fine. The DVI was working. Installed new drivers and now Windows cant display. Found out that there is a problem witht hat models motherboard recognizing PCI-e slots and sure enough I can't activate PCI-e in the bios. Ok. I take the Inspiron. Look to see iof PCI-e is activated. It is. Same problem. Whenever I upgrade to the AMD drivers from the legacy ones Windows no longer displays. Help!

Do you have the latest BIOS installed? And which version of Windows is installed?

If the card was recognized and working prior to installing the new drivers, that would suggest the drivers are the problem.

Uninstall the AMD drivers reboot and let windows install the drivers then update the drivers through device manager.
