Gotlake I too have the same problem. I have had this problem since I bought my system in Dec 04. I am still waiting for Chris ( Dell moderator?) to get back to me after his initial response. If you research this problem for previous postings it has been hinted that it may be a problem with the BIOS. If that is true I am surprised Dell has not come up with a fix. It appears that it has to do with an out of sync connection between the monitor and the computer. Even though I have followed all suggestions from downloading drivers, powering off the monitor, and ensuring the resolution and 60HZ refresh is set as Dell suggested my problem still exisits. Can anyone make a constructive suggestion? Thanks.
When you turn on the system, press F8 to boot options and then choose safe mode. It should boot in safe mode, and then do a system restore to a date before the problems started. Also if there is no restore point to where the problem was ever fixed, you could reinstall the video driver in safe mode. You can download video drivers from the Dell site if its the onboard video that came with the system.
Hi, I am having the same message Cannot Display This Video Mode. But I get it when I am trying the play the game Jewel Quest. The game downloads fine, but when I try to play the game, my screen goes black and displays the message. I can hear the sound but there is no picture! Please help!
