Thanks for the help folks. I ended up buying a used ATI Radeon HD 3450 F342F off of ebay for $15. I know it's not a performance card, but I really only want to have my desktop on my LCD TV and maybe do a little streaming of videos. At least I know it is verified compatible. I see several different variations of the 6450. Could you be more specific please. I see both a 512mb and a 1gb one. Most are listed as AMD, some being Dell AMD and others HP AMD. Will the AMD ones work on an intel machine? And will my 300w PSU handle this because I'm installing a dedicated audio card and a secondary hard drive as well. Thanks
They all function the same, and they are highly compatible. (They have worked in every Dell I have tried them with, even an old PCIe-x1 Dimension 3100.) Power consumption is minimal, and a 300-watt power supply is more than enough.
FYI they have onboard HDMI 1.3-compliant onboard audio capable of driving a 7.1 HD surround sound system. All that for $20!

$20 isn't much of a budget, but if you watch Newegg's sales, you might find a 5450 card for $20.

It's an old card, and driver support is questionable. The 6450, on the other hand, is a stellar HTPC performer.
