Are you wanting to upgrade from PC600? I have read that upgrading from PC600 to PC800 is a good idea if you can afford it. I haven't read much about the differences between PC600 and PC700.
pc 700 only runs about 89 mhz below pc800 as pc 700 really runs at 711 mhz. it is pc 600 that is so slow as it only really runs at about 532 mhz. you can put a pc800 with your pc700 and it too will run at 700. it is backwards compatible and then if you later wanted all 800 you would only need 1 and replace the 700. i went from 600 to 700 and noticed a real gain (168 mhz), but i don't think you would see that much difference between 700 and 800.(89 mhz) ebay is also a good place to get rdram if you use pricewatch.com to see that you don't overbid.

I would like to find out if it is feasible to upgrade to 256 or if the cost is prohibitive.
Thanks.
