Computer Fan

Hello Dell, I'm currently using a Dell Optiplex 745 and when I turn the computer on, it gives this ANNOYING beep for 6 seconds without any display. I think it's overheating and needs a fan replacement. But I can't find any fans like them. Its ATI FireMV 023A0 and I've looked up Amazon, Ebay, etc. I bought this computer on December 2014 and the fans were always loud when I turned on the computer. Please help. I need help QUICK AS POSSIBLE.

Hi,

Given in this case we suggest you to ensure system BIOS is updated to the latest version since the rate at which the system fan spins is controller by the system BIOS.

Even after that if the issue is not sorted then write to us along with the service tag of the system sent via private message so that we can arrange for system fan replacement.

Regards,

Beep codes on the 745 come in groups of three, separated by a short pause, eg: 1 beep (pause) 2 beeps (pause) 1 beep. So listen carefully to hear the code and look it up on page 53 in the manual.

ATI FireMV 023A0 is not a fan, it's your video card which may or not have a fan on it. So are you're saying the fan on the video card is causing the noise?

A noisy fan may or not be related to the failure you have. So you might need a new video card or something else is wrong. First is to try reseating the video card in its slot...
