Computer will not recover from sleep mode

I tried everything to awaken the computer, turned it off/on.  It seems it will not awaken even after I press a key or mouse.  All it does is allow the tower to go on but the keyboard will not light up so is there a fuse that disconnects the mouse and the keyboard simultaneously that I could have ruined?

* Press and hold the PC power button in to turn it off
* Power the PC on
* Once into windows, list your powersave options chosen

Hi Chris, the PC model is Vostro 220 with a Windows 7 operating system.  I turned it off by holding in the button, then restarted it by pressing in the same button.  The USB ports do not have power going to them as the Dell IN2010N screen says the computer is not connecting with it, there is not power to any USB ports as the computer is still in sleep-mode and it will not power up more that what the sleep-mode requires.

How many blue VGA ports are on the back of the Vostro 220? What color is the Vostro 220 power light when turned on?

I don't know what VGA means but there are 4 USB ports on the back and two in front.  I plugged my D-link into all USB ports and non have power to them as the D-link did not light up as it usually would.  The power on light color is yellow.

VGA is the connector on the back of the computer that the monitor connects to via a cable. If the computer power light is steady amber, there may be a power problem or an internal device malfunction.

Hi Chris, A google of the product gave me the probable problem, the power supply box.  I will attach the support forum link to assist others that may find the similar problem.
