Cordless iTouch Keyboard stopped working...

I have changed batteries and they show full.
I have reconnected using the reset button. I have removed the device then restarted and found hardware was activated. I have updated the driver from Logitech....

Mouse has worked all along.

What else should I do?

Thank you, Kate

kvstark,

I am making the assumption that the keyboard and mouse both worked before changing batteries.   If so, follow this process.  It seems a bit long, but try it.

1.  Shut down your computer.
2.  Remove the power cord from the back of the computer.
3.  Remove the batteries from both the mouse and the keyboard.  Leave the covers off.
4.  Press and hold the connect button on the receiver box, the keyboard and the mouse for about 10 seconds each.
5.  Be sure that the cables from the receiver box are secure in the back of the computer
6.  Reconnect power to the computer and turn the computer on.
7.  Install the batteries in the keyboard and the mouse within 60 seconds of powering up the computer.  Be sure that the keyboard and mouse are within about 8 inches of the receiver box.

All should be well.

I assume the receiver box means the computer ?

brianjohnwatt,

The receiver box is the small box that is on the top of the desk that the wireless keyboard and mouse communicate with.  It will usually have a "connect" button on it and USB cable(s) that connect to the keyboard and mouse connectors or to a USB connection on the back of the system.

Steve, I tried what you suggested but to no avail.

Actually, the last thing I remember happening before the keyboard stopped working was that the word mute flickered on my monitor and there was a beeping sound. I restarted my computer then the keyboard ceased to function. THAT'S when I installed new batteries....

kvstark,

Across the top of your keyboard are several gray rubber buttons.  Just above the key is the mute button.  Press it several times and see if it appears to be stuck.  If you have a stuck key, it will usually lock up the keyboard.  Try several of the other keys across the top and see if any of them are stuck.
