Correct Chipset For Dimension 2350?

Hello, I have a  question(or two lol) I'm hoping someone can help me with. Mainly, one pertaining to > Is the "Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915 GPGV Chipset" the correct chipset drivers for a Dimension 2350?(Read ON)

I'm working on a Dimension 2350 for a friend  and had to do a clean reinstall. He had the OEM XP SP1 disc and software disc, but he didn't have the "Drivers" disc. I wanted to make sure I  found and installed the correct drivers, especially the chipset drivers,  as I'm troubleshooting what appears to be a bad HDD, cabling or a driver issue...or

I keep recieving the following STOP Errors:

*** Stop 0x00000077 or KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR, A page of kernel data requested from the pagefile could not be found or read into memory. This message also can indicate disk hardware failure, disk data corruption, or possible virus infection.
***0x0000007A or KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, A page of kernel data was not found in the pagefile and could not be read into memory. This might be due to incompatible disk or controller drivers, firmware, or hardware.
The 2nd parameter of both of these STOP ERRORS IS
0xC0000185   STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR, caused by improper termination or bad cabling on SCSI devices.

Microsoft staes that common causes of these errors are:
• The paging file contained a bad block.
• If the page file is on a SCSI device, the trap could have been caused by improper termination.
• Bad cabling from hard disk to controller.
• An error on the disk controller.
• Running out of non-paged pool resources on the server.

After some research I found the reinstall guide which gave me the "driver install order" with clickable links to the  the following drivers...which I Installed in the following order:
1.Chipset -Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915 GPGV Chipset Driver
2.Intel 845 GGL Integrated Video
3.Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio
4.USB Controller(Win XP SP-1)
5.No drivers-Standard ps2 keyboard
6.Broadcom 4401 Integrated NIC
7.No Network card
8.Applied Critical Update  XP (KB885626)
9.Applied XP SP2(From Disc not Internet).
Are the aforementioned the correct drivers? ...mainly the chipset drivers. If not, what are the correct drivers? Here are the general specs on the Dell Dimension 2350:
P4 2.4Ghz, 512 DDR Ram, 60Gig WD Caviar® WD600BB, Intel 845G Chipset, AMI BIOS Rev. A01

Quick Overview: After many exhausting attempts to salvage his original factory OEM XP SP-1 and files , it was clear I would have to reinstall. Before doing a reinstall, I recovered his documents/music by installing a spare HDD of mine and installing his operating system on it (...so I could set his HDD to a slave and copy his files to my "recovery "HDD> set to master). To do this I had to install a IDE cable that supported 2 HDD, as his only supported 1. Up to this point I had no problems. I then replaced his HDD as the master, partitoned, reformatted and reinstalled OS and Drivers in the order listed  above. After that I hooked my "recovery" HDD back up to the approprate slave connector(Grey on the 80 conductor 40 pin IDE cable) and correct jumper setiings so I could copy the recovered files over to his D:\ Partition. I then removed my  "recovery" HDD  and replaced his original IDE cable with single HDD support....When changing out HDD & cables, I obviously shutdown the cpu and unplugged it.

I booted back up and recieved the first "STOP" error messages(listed above) so I shutdown and changed out the cable and rebooted fine. Then I started installing programs > then tested/ran various programs I installed for about an hour to see if I could trigger any errors. All seemed ok, so I took a 15 minute break  before continuing...when I came back guess what?  Sooo, I checked and reseated the cables and booted back up. When I was done I ran the defrag...5 minutes into the defrag  I  recievied another the "STOP" error message (and on and on)  etc... I recieved the *** Stop 0x00000077 twice and the ***0x0000007A twice and a 0x000000F4 CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION.

I've reinstalled "recovery" HDD back to see if I recieve the same errors and It seems to work fine... I'm wondering, being I never installed the drivers(including the chipset drivers) on this drive(as I only needed it to recover files with it ),  if it might be a chipset driver problem?

Any help would be greatly apreciated :) ...

Thanx a million for the quick response guys!!!!!!

You're probably wondering how in the world I came up with the "Chipset -Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915 GPGV Chipset Drivers"  as being the correct drivers for the Dell 2350.......:smileysurprised::smileysurprised:

I Installed the correct chipset drivers the first time around( the 845GL) and recieved an error on reboot...so I scratched my head and went to the reinstall guide. The reinstall guide gave me the "driver install order" with clickable links to the drivers...the clickable link for chipset drivers took me to "Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915 GPGV Chipset Drivers".

Anyway, Problem solved...It was a bad IDE cable that had the uncanny timing to malfunction upon rebbot, after the installation of the correct chipset. What made matters worse, everything worked fine for a while after the installation of the Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915 .....Ever had one of those days!!!!!!!:smileymad::smileysurprised::smileytongue:

Once again thanks for the quick responses:smileyhappy:
