Dell 5 Button Premium Optical Mouse

Real simple question....Can you disable the 2 side buttons on this mouse.  I work at a hospital and have found myself constantly hitting the 2 side buttons when I am documenting stuff.

Thanks

sparker781,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Did you look at the mouse properties in the control panel to see if there were any options to disable the buttons?

Personal preference i guess as i find them very useful and once you do get use to them very easy to navigate on the web...:smileywink:

I just received new system with a Dell Premium 5 button mouse (black and silver), dunno if this answer is else on the site, but here goes...  The side buttons have been very annoying as they are too easy to press accidentally, I installed the R164210.exe (applet?) as suggested by Dell Support Center program.  I assigned "other", "none" to the back and forward buttons but they still worked as forward/back button, finally I tried "Keystroke assignment", none and finally no response from the side buttons.  Yea, no more side buttons!
