There's not a whole lot you can do to improve things. Bumping the RAM to 512 will cost you >$70. I'm not a fan of the FX5200 and think you may be better off with a Ti4200 ($60 used), but this will be a marginal improvement at best. An upgraded 4100 is still a 4100. By the way, it's what I use as well.

Save your pennies and build your own system with next year's tax return.

The Geforce FX5500 runs a bit faster with 270mhz gpu vs 250. More like a 5200 ultra.

I went with a Radeon 9800PRO for starters. That gives me upgrade path for newer 865/875 chipset
motherboards that have AGP.

One of my other 4100's has 512 megs and a Geforce FX5500 AGP.
I ended up giving that away and finding a GX240 tower to migrate My 9800PRO AGP and RAM into.

The GX240 has a 2.2Ghz Pentium4 and runs farcry much better now.
