Dell Dimension C521 Upgrade
Hey Guys,
I recently picked up a C521 and I have been browsing the forums here for quite a while looking to upgrade my system.
Everything I have found so far has been really helpful! So far I have ordered:
AMD Athlon X2 3GHz Windsor
2Gb RAM
I have an old hard drive that I will upgrade and maybe an SSD boot drive in the future.
The only problem that I am having is getting a video card that will be ok with the system!
I was looking at a NVIDIA GT630 that is low profile but I have no idea if this is a good card or if it will draw to much power from the stock PSU.
Anybody have any good card recommendations or advice they could give me please?
Thank you very much!

Many Low profile cards will not physically go in let alone work with a 250W power supply. The ASUS EAH5450 works in all models except USFF.

This is why they put 25W max on the video slot for many of the low profile systems.
.
You cant use such a THICK card. This is why Dell cards are fanless.

Thanks for the reply!
I really just want to add a HDMI port to the system!
Don't need a card for gaming or any heavy use.
Any idea if this is possible?

The EAH5450 works fine.
