Dell Inspiron 660 Graphics Card Length Question
Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew what was the maximum length a graphics card could be to fit inside my Inspiron 660. It's not the slim tower one either. Was thinking about putting an R9 270x inside it, but it's 10.4" and I had remembered reading somewhere else that there was a certain length limit. Thank you!

I believe the max is 10" at most. There are R9 270x's that are less than 10" such as this one HERE at 8.98" long. However, my concern would be that the power connectors are in the back of the card versus the side which could add to the problem. HERE is an XFX card that is 9.9" long with the power connectors on the side.

With the power connections on the end 10 inches is TOO LONG.
9 inches long, 1.5 in heigh, 3. 75 in width.
www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx
says
Card Dimensions 8.25" x 4.38"
The Card in the socket does not LAY FLAT AGAINST THE MOTHERBOARD.
Getting the power adapters in after is impossible imho but you can plug them up BEFORE inserting and then carefully put the card in.
8.6 aka 9 inch cards are a VERY TIGHT FIT. 10 inch Cards are IMPOSSIBLE as are 12 inch cards.
