Not sure why the Dell person couldn't give you a solid answer. Anyway, I had the same problem and found the solution. You need to install the OSD application. Very simple and very quick. The Win 7 version is here...if you haven't found it on your own already. www.dell.com/.../driversdetails
My config: OptiPlex 5250 with processor i5-7500 and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - does not allow to install the DELL video driver. OSD application was installed without errors, but it does not work,
