Hotter cpus require the Copper Heatpipe performance heatsink not the cheap aluminum extrusion heatsink.

Hi.  Thanks for responding so quickly.  I have seen that heatsink and i know which one it is.  The heatsink that is in the Optiplex that i upgraded is the heatsink and shroud JN738.  I will order the R6852 today.

JN378 looks like it is the tall Tower Heatsink Shroud.

The copper replacement would be something like.

I guess it depends on the Height of the shroud.  Is yours a square or tall Rectangle?

I am not Dell Engineering and I do not have parts lists to go By.

H9073 Is the Tower Aluminum HS in my 620.  I am guessing that the 210 and the 745 and 755 Tower use
the same mounting.  Note the 6 holes in the Top for the Copper Heatpipe version to fit.

Is the 210L a DESKTOP not a tower?  If so these tall ones would fit but you would never close the cover again.

Well the height is the same as the J7109 but im sure i can make the D7931 work with the fan shroud.  Just need to use my creative skills and make the fan shroud extend downward to the shorter heatsink bracket. Nothing major.  Ill get some ABS plastic and extend it to work.  You have been a great help and im sure it will work out just fine.  I already ordered the D7931 so i will make it work.

Yes it is a tower.  It has the the heatsink in your picture.  I ordered the D7931 for it yesterday, not thinking about the height of the heatsink.  It will close just fine.  It has an oversized case, so im not worried either way.

Well I installed the D7931 and even though it is shorter than the J7109, I figured it would work.  It didnt.  Well now Im going to buy the J9761 heatsink and shroud.  After this, my problem should be solved.
