Thanks for the response. Just found out that the "K" series is mostly used for overclocking. What's the worst that could happen if I put the i5-3570K into my pc? I don't plan on overclocking, just regular movies, music, and files.

Just that it's not cost effective based on personal use.

If you're going from the 3rd Gen i3... The i5-3470s still gives you 2 additional cores and some beer money left over. ;)
