Dell Optiplex GX270 Optical drive replacement

I just got my uncle's old computer.  The original DVD drive is dead in it so I was going to replace it with (hopefully) one I have salvaged from an old computer of mine.  So what I'm wondering is would replacing it with a DVD-RW writer from an HP 530J work? I can't seem to find any information on the internet. So I figured I would check and see if anyone on here would know.  I can do the actual replacing but I just want to know if it would even work.
