Dell Optiplex GX280 sound problems

Hi there, I have a refurbished Dell optiplex 280. It was working fine until a few weeks ago I loaded Avast Anti Virus. Then the whole system went craxy. I managed to reload windows but then the sound wouldnt work. I downloaded the sound drivers from the Dell website but still it doesnt work!! Before the system crash the sound and video worked perfectly. I have now upgraded to Windows 7 to try and get the sound to work, same thing. I keep getting the error message "no sound devices installed" I have speakers that are working perfectly! Please help

There are no Windows 7 drivers.  However the Vista Driver works fine.

Use the windows vista driver.

Hi!

I have Dell OptiPlex GX280 Desktop, recently I upgraded my OS to Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit version. The drivers for Multimedia Audio Controller and for Video Controller were not installed, thanks to you Audio driver of Vista worked, is there a Video driver available that will work with this version of OS. And how can I find Vista drivers for this system model on Dell website, when I try to view available drivers after entering Service Tag No. it only shows Windows XP drivers. Please give me a direct link to the video driver  also.

Thanks in advance

The GX280 intel video DOES NOT and WILL NOT support AERO or Vista.

If its a Tower you can add a Radeon HD 5450.
