Dell Optiplex GX620 says that the Pentium D 925 3.0 GHz processor is incompatible?
I did research and generally people said that the Pentium D 925 would work.
Is it a problem with the CPU I bought or was I mislead?

Small form factor and Desktop models don't have enough power. Bios A11 is required.
Mini Tower can go all the way to Pentium D 960 when matched with the copper heatpipe heatsink.
2.8Ghz is a limit for the smaller form factors aka Pentium D 915.
