Ok now i have managed to get it to boot but now it says primary hard disk drive 1 not found...i have tried 2 different hard drives...one of which came out of a machine that i know works and of course the other is original to this machine and i know nothing about it.  Do i have it set wrong the computer i mean the hard drive is set to master. maybe my ribbon cords are bad...any ideas? thanx

Primary harddisk 1 is the 2nd drive. Does this computer have 2 harddrives? If not, go into the bios and turn the 2nd harddrive to none/disabled.

Primary harddisk 0 should be the boot drive.

What does error - "Booting failed at checkpoint krst" mean?

Also - messages below followed this

Primary hard disk drive 0 not found

Secondary hard disk drive 0 not found

Secondary hard disk drive 1 not found

What does it all mean and how do I fix? thanks

Guess it's not only the problem with bios battery.
