Dell Precision T5500 no video, no beep, no mouse/keyboard, nothing works

Dell Precision T5500  12GB ram, xeon e5606, (2) WD 160GB 10k rpm HDD's, ATI Radeon Crossfire 512MB graphics card.

I just went to power it on for the first time and this is what happens:

-power button light is steady green, fans come on including one on video card, but no beeps, no video, the mouse only lights up for a split second when I plug it in, then it goes dark.

-tried to start without RAM, again, no beeps, no video, nothing (pwr button light steady green)

-re-seated CPU, same problem.

-removed CPU and started the computer same thing, only this time the power button light is a steady amber color, and the front panel flashes the numbers 1,2,4.  Then (with CPU removed) when I hold the power button to turn off the computer and once the computer is off and unplugged, for about a minute the power button flashes in amber color and the front panel flashes the numbers: 1 and 3.

-now I've reinstalled the CPU and the problem is same as original.

What is the solution?

Did you ever get the motherboard flashed with newer bios?  Does it work now with the two e5620 CPU's?  Also, what version bios did you have?  I have A01 and it works with my e5520 but nothing happens (no video) with my two e5620's.  I can't even get into bios to upgrade as it says "Non-ECC DIMMs are not supported on this system.  System halted!"

What a waste to buy 18GB of DDR3 10600 non-ecc.  Esp. when crucial's website says they are compatible.

I got the ECC registered RAM, and flashed the MB to BIOS version A11 from A01, now my two E5620's work!!!  Seems the initial problem was an out dated BIOS but the E5520 DID work with the original A01 BIOS.

Problem solved.

What is the part number of your motherboard?  Sounds like the original D388F.
