Dell Studio 540 Bluescreen

Hello guys I am having this blue screen frequently when I boot up my desktop. Is it a hardware problem? Should I send it back to Dell to repair?

Hi Pwnage123,

This issue can be resovled by uninstalling the Service pack 2 if its Windows XP.

I'm using vista home premium SP2. I also experienced this error when I was using SP1. Please help!

Uninstall the SP2 it will fix the issue.

Have you tried backing up your files and doing a repair? If its a Dell do a diagnostic from the bios. You have to try things in the bios because that is as far you can go. Last resort do a reload of the OS.  Good luck
