Dell System Detect Windows 7 Not starting

Question

I am trying to install the newest version of Dell System Detect on my Windows 7 Pro SP1. Downloaded DellSystemDetectLauncher.exe version 11.0.60315.1 to my desktop and tried to install from that location. I am getting a error popup that says 'Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor.' I do have the latest version of .Net Can someone lead me to a fix so I can install this application?

Since I have .NET framework and Visual Studio 2008 installed with Windows 7 SP1.

PROBLEMATIC URL:

Here is the actual issue with the .APPLICATION file trying to get DSD to work:

System.Deployment.Application.InvalidDeploymentException (SignatureValidation)

- Manifest XML signature is not valid.

- Source: System.Deployment

- Stack trace:

at System.Deployment.Application.Manifest.AssemblyManifest.ValidateSignature(Stream s)

at System.Deployment.Application.ManifestReader.FromDocument(String localPath, ManifestType manifestType, Uri sourceUri)

XML Signature is not valid.

Workaround:

downloads.dell.com/.../index.html

Visit that URL and go to your specific model type/# and download the alternative diagnostics tool provided by DELL.

I had to actually get the 32bit diagnostics ISO image and burn to disc to run h/w tests to solve my issue.

Conclusion:

I wasn't able to test DSD any further to fully resolve this problem but that's the issue/working solution I used on Windows 7 Pro 64bit you can download currently.

System Detect is not a necessary program. Uninstall it if you cannot upgrade and have the older version that had some vulnerability to hackers. Read-- www.dell.com/.../EN

I know it is not necessary.

But I would like to install it any ways so I can run or at least test the diagnostics.

I can not uninstall something that is not installed.

I still want to know why I am getting this error?

thank you @windows_10_user. it helps. I make the answer shorter: go to downloads.dell.com/.../index.html and find category:diagnostics and download it, install it.
