Dell T5500 Precision CRH6C - RAM and GPU Update
Hi All,
I have a Dell T5500 Precision workstation with Dual X5650 and 24GB 1333 RAM. I believe the mother board is a Dell CRH6C.
Can I use PC3-12800 Ram with this mother board? Also, the FX3800 is not really cutting it with games (Obviously). Does this Motherboard support Crossfire or SLI? If yes, has anyone tried putting in an RX 480, RX 580 or a GTX 10 series card in the system?
Desperate to upgrade. Replies are appreciated!

Supports Crossfire. DOES NOT SUPPORT SLI.
HOWEVER it also doesnt support RX460 or any R Series ATI card because DOS VESA Video mode 103 is not supported. NO POST and NO WAY to get into F2 Bios because of this limitation.
Mine has 2 Radeon 5770's in Cross Fire mode.
ZOTAC GTX 1050 TI works fine.

Thank you for the info! So, you tried R ATI Cards and it didn't work?

Kinda *** that it supports crossfire but can't use any of the newer cards.

They don't post and when you press F2 or F12 on startup it says VESA VIDEO MODE 103 Not supported.
Radeon 5000 6000 7000 versions without UEFI bios work fine aka 5450 6450 7950 etc.
