Dell Vostro 230 won't turn on

Hi,

I unplugged my vostro 230 for  couple of days, when I came back from vacation , tried turn it on, there is no display, I can see green light in the back of PS and blue light in front of the case.

I removed the power cord from main board and tried to reset the bios, but did not work.

please help

It is not on the motherboard, it is part of the BIOS software, hence the reason for being located in the System Setup, aka BIOS.

Bev.

I don't have any video, can't change anything through Bios

How did you connect the TV set to the Vostro 230, without a working monitor?

does your motherboard have led? is it green or red? try reseating RAM and also try removing HDD and then try turning on system.

Realize this is an old thread but I had the exact same issue today. Turns out I needed a USB keyboard plugged in.

Hopefully this helps someone else in the future.
