Dell XPS 730 X Graphics Card Upgrade

I have a Dell XPS 730 X computer with an Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT graphics card.

I would like to upgrade to a Nvidia GTX 580. My biggest concern is will the card even fit, as it takes up two slots on the MoBo.

Specifically looking at  this.

If there is any more information I need to give let me know, or if there is a graphics card of similar specs that would work with my computer, I really would like to get an Nvidia card though.

I don't know why it would not fit.  If the older dual slot GTX 280, GTX 285 & GTX 295 fit in the system, then the GTX 580 will fit too since they are all the same size.

You are making a big jump from the old 9800 GT.  You may just be happy with something not so expensive like the GTX 570  or even a GTX 560 Ti.

Yeah I just wasn't sure about the size because the older card I have now  is considerably smaller in size.

But I plan on playing Battlefield 3 at max settings, among other games, and when money isn't an issue I might as well get the 580 which is considerable cheaper than the 590.

Yeah, you can almost buy a whole new computer for the cost of the GTX 590.   As long as you have a good high-end monitor to go with that GTX 580, then you'll be fine.
