Dell computer getting stuck in power save mode
My Dell Studio XPS 8000 gets stuck in power save mode after playing a game for like 10 minutes.
Can't get my computer out of the power save mode when pressing keys, or moving/clicking the mouse.
and that is the only way my computer gets stuck, can leave it over night, and it will work the next morning.
Hope someone could help me with this, getting bored rebooting my computer all the time.
PS. If you need any more information let me know

Could possibly be a overheating problem with your video card. Suggest you get a free program for monitoring your cards temp.
A good one is GPUz

I already had HWMonitor installed and right after my boot it was 60 °C, after about 5 minutes, the max temp went to 73 °C.

What does it get while you are gamming? I still feel that is the issue. It is getting hot under heavy load and shutting down.

It does sound then like your fan on the card is not being ramped up as the temps go up. Go HERE and download and install MSI Afterburner. Once installed click on the Setting button and go to the fan tab.
See what is shows for defaults. If you click on the line it will add points that you can drag to set the fan speed vs temp. Make sure you check the box Enable use control Fan speed.

something that realy got me when looking at the info on the right side of MSI Afterburner is that GPU is at 90 °C, fans going 100% and GPU usage is between 0 and 2%

What brand of video card do you have? Those temps are way to hot and that is why it is shutting down. Do you hear the video card fan ramping up as the temps go up?
How old is your system? Open the case and check for dust build up on the Graphics card..

Fan is going for 40% speed at 30 °C, and 100% at 90 °C.
this means that my fan is going all out at this moment, and can't get the GPU cooled down

I have a NVidia Geforce GTS 240
Can't hear much difference in the sound of that fan.
system is from last year, november/december
last time I opened my case it didn't have that much dust in it, but still cleaned it, was about 2/3 months ago.
