Digital Line Detected (PBX)
A window titled "Digital Line Detect" keeps popping up and I would LOVE to get rid of it. Within the window it reads: "Digitial line detected (PBX): Please verify that your phone line from your computer is directly connected to a standard analog modem or fax line. I am using Windows XP on a DELL 2400. Any pointers????

If it is connected to a switchboard that is using VOIP that may be problematic.
If you are using a regular ethernet cable to a router and plan on sending emails, you won't need the fax modem and can pull it out and uninstall any associated software.
That should get rid of the message....
I think its strange that the message would pop up if you are using broadband.
Some viruses try to make long distance phone calls out of your phone modem to expensive countries to rack up a bill that they get a cut of.
If so run a virus scan and unplug the phone card and yank it if you don't need it.
