Dikette Drive A Error message during boot up

During Boot up (starting or restarting my computer )
I get the following message :

Error
02B0 : Diskette drive A error
Press to resume or to set up

When I press Esc , the computer continues to boot up and everything seems to work ( even Drive A !).
When I press Del , I come to another screen but don't know what to do, so I press exit without saving.

In the manueal from Dell it says as possible cause
Drive A is present but has failed the BIOS POST .

I should also check if it has been correctly defined
in the system setup program .

I do however NOT understand what to do .

I might note that my comupter is only 4 months old and that I have not installed new software for about
1 month . My computer worked fine , but suddendly from out of nowhere this problem occurs.

Help & Thanks

Hi,

The line-through appeared because you perhaps inadvertantly used an html command which created it. If you type , this is the html tag to create the line-through effect; html uses these pointed brackets to set off commands and tags. It's probably better to use other forms of brackets here to enclose Windows, DOS, or BIOS commands, although you can learn the html code that allows you to create those brackets in a post without processing what is inside of them, as I did here. To create <, type these characters in order, without the commas I include to prevent processing of them: &,l,t,; The ampersand instructs the forum software to look at the next characters and process them and the semi-colon tells the software that the character set is complete. To form a >, type this set of characters, without the commas: &,g,t,;

Hope this helps,

Kay

Edit: Note that the code used to form the non-processed brackets here lasts only through one post. This means that if you preview the message, or return to edit it, you will need to reset the code, or it becomes an html bracket and attempts to process what it can.
