Dim 3000 - Shut down problems

Question

Hey, Everytime I try to shut down or restart my computer it won't work. Even old trusty Ctrl/Alt/Delete fails. The only way to turn it off is by pressing the on/off button in for ages. Then when I turn it back on again a 'RCINT failure. String table ID not found. '42' at line 462.' message comes up. Any ideas anyone? Thanks!

Did you recently install any new software?

Do the results of the following Google search help you determine what is causing the problem?

Do you have your system set to automatically restart after a system failure?  If so this could be the problem.  If not, give some of your system specs.

Thankyou they help a lot! I installed Style xp which seems to have caused the problem - uninstalled it and everything works fine. Thanks again ;)
