Dimension 4550 Replacement Video Card -Monitor
I am still using the CRT monitor which came with the above PC purchased 2003 and am increasingly frustrated by having to use the bottom scroll bar. I am looking to replace this with a widescreen Analoge / Digital Monitor about 20 / 22 inch screen. The PC is a workhorse i.e. non gaming and the like, but occassional TV. However, I understand my PC spec. particularly the Vidio Card will not support other than a 4 : 3 aspect ratio screen. Would welcome suggestions for 1) Replacement Vido Card and if known - availability and price. Price is important given age of the system, which however still works well and meets my needs. 2) Appropriate Monitor
My PC spec. is as follows:- Dimension 4550 Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.00 GHz - 1GB RAM - ATI Rage 128 Ultra (16MB ) Video card - 30 GB IDE Hard Drive (5400rpm) - 48 x DVD / CDRW Combo Drive - Dimension 4550 ) P 4.2 OGHz / 512k (400 FSB ) Integrated Sound and NIC with Floppy Disc.
We have recently switched to Digitial in this area. Technicial novice would welcome any suggestions and / or advice.

Check out the LCD monitors HERE and the AGP video cards HERE
The 4550 supports AGP x4 video cards, the AGP x8 cards are backwards compatible to AGP x4.
