Dimension 8400: Two Floppy Drives

I'm wondering if it's possible to install and use two floppy drives in this computer. Since it has two floppy drive bays, I have been wondering if it will work.

No, the Dimension 8400 motherboard only supports one Floppy Drive.

See page 71, Here:

Well, the only reason why I asked is because I have an all-purpose dual-floppy cord I bought a while ago for use in my other computer. One floppy controller, if programmed correctly, can allow you to have two floppy drives. But I trust you. I've seen you on some replies on lots of other posts about the Dimension 8400. So I figure you'd know much more about it than I would. Thank you. :)

My bad, after your post, I carried out more research and found out there is a 34-pin floppy drive cable that allows you to install two FD's on the same controller.

A silly question, why do you need 2 x FD's, because they have been obsolete for several years.

These days, I used an USB external FD drive, for the few times I need to read/use a FD diskette.

Simply because it's convenient for, say, copying something to another floppy disk, and for some reason, I like having as much functions as possible on any piece of technology (heck, I even installed a 3-pin fan header on this motherboard, and it worked).

Also, did you just unmark your answer, or did something weird happen? I could have sworn I clicked "Yes" a while ago.
