Dimension 8400 will not start up
Upon pressing the power button, CPU activates fan, cd\dvd drives and front operational lights. Produces beep code of 1-3-2 and the diagnostic lights on the back show A & B are yellow, C & D are green. Monitor does not activate. Fan seems to be louder than normal.

Check the diagnostic beep and light codes either online HERE* or in your manual. That code means a memory error. Try reseating memory one chip at a time in each slot until you find the bad chip or bad slot. Think about replacing the old model if it is a bad slot.
