Dimension 9200 - SigmaTel and StereoMix

To start this topic, I prefer to inform I am a French user and my English is not perfect ;)
-----------------------

I have a Dell Dimension 9200 since June with Vista preinstalled and it works perfectly. But for the games Vista is not the best, I decided to install XP on one of my two hard-drives. No problems with the installation because I write this message from XP.

To record my game I use Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/) who is a great software. But I noticed that it have not sound on my videos ! After searches I found that StereoMix option who recorded all the sounds but it not inclued in the R124105 package. I looked in the drivers for notebooks, R171789, and I found this line in :

[HKR\Settings\filter\Rear]
DigitalStereoMix = hex: 0

I changed 0 by 1 and I placed this line in C:\dell\drivers\R124105\WDM\92XXD8-3.ini file.

"92XXD8-3.ini" is the .ini file to Dimension 9200 with SigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec.

I installed this "new" drivers and Stereo Mix option was enable in defaut sound control panel (Start > Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices > Audio > Audio recording > choose SigmaTel Audio > Volume)

But to finish Fraps choose Stereo Mix in defaut settings and it not record sound... I tried with Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/?lang=en) with Stereo Mix setting but it not record sound too...

So I hope an help because I am tired to search and not to found.

Thanks

When is Dell going to release a decent Vista audio driver that allows What U Hear or Stereo Mix?

Has anyone tried the Sigmatel audio driver that's downloaded through Windows Update?
