Does Microfiber cloth cause scratching?
I recently got a Dell LED HD Monitor and I'm SUPER paranoid about getting it dirty or in bad condition. The monitor came with a Microfiber cloth and I'm just wondering. How durable and effective are these clothes exactly? Are they safe to use to wipe the screen if I gently wipe apply pressure? Do Microfiber clothes cause any form of scratching at all? I really want to avoid scratching the screen. I'm super paranoid about stuff like this.. I really appreciate it.

Microfiber cloths do not scratch. I use one to gently wipe the dust from my LCD and it has not caused any problems. I have a cleaning kit for my LCD TV and it too has some special cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.

They don't scratch by themselves but if they become embedded with Grit aka sand, salt, any sharp crystals they will scratch. Thats why you use a REALLY Soft microfiber cloth only on the screen and not other places.
Also NEVER USE WINDEX aka Ammonia on a Screen.
