Does Windows XP media center support SCSI?

Any help would be appreciated!
I am about to purchase a Dell E510 with XP Media Center, and I would really like to know if I can use my existing scanner and 8x10 thermal printer, which are both connected by SCSI. They are excellent devices and would be expensive to replace. Can I use SCSI with XP?

The SCSI card is an Adaptec 2930U

This is not an "Audio" problem, but.

Unless the SCSI PCI card is Windows XP compatible it won't work.  You will need a SCSI card that is Windows XP compatible (and possibly XP specific drivers as older Windows drivers are incompatible).  However, before you go off looking for a compatible SCSI card you need to confirm that the old peripherals are XP compatible.  A lot of the older printers and scanners are not XP compatible and you will need Windows XP specific drivers, like the SCSI card, older Windows drivers are not compatible.  With the advent of USB (and firewire) SCSI  I/O has basically become obsolete in newer PC's (same way with the Parallel (Printer) and serial (com) ports which are not on many new PC's).

Finally, with a new Windows XP machine be prepared for some of the older software to be incompatible too.  Not all older software (especially DOS based programs) will run under XP.  Some may have updates available to make them XP compatible and others the only option is to replace them with new XP compatible versions.

I just did a search on that Adaptec SCSI card and it shows as only being a MAC card and would not work in a Windows PC.

Your lookup isnt exactly correct.

The Powerdomain 2930 is the Mac card.

The 2930U comes in PC Windoze flavor.  I talked with Adaptec and they indicate that the 2930 has NATIVE XP driver support.

COMPUSA refers to XP driver support.

The WINDOZE version is Adaptec 1662200

If its not working for XP there must be some other reason like NON 5v PCI support.
