Drivers for Dimension 3100

Hi, I am doing a restall of Windows XP on a Dimension 3100 but understand that I will need to reinstall the drivers afterwards .The chipset is Intel Grantsdale-G i915GV & the mobo name Dell DV051 & I think product no 0JC474. I've looked on the dell site but got a bit confused. Any help & other advice appreciated . Thanks

Paros1,

Drivers can be downloaded from Dell's website at this link:

or you can use the Resource CD that came with your computer.  You should install the Intel chipset driver first.  It is the only one listed under Chipset.  You should then install your video card driver.  The choice of video driver will depend on which video card you have in your computer.  If you are using the onboard video, you can install this driver:

Otherwise, you will need to determine which video card is installed in your system to choose which driver you need.  You can then install your audio, modem, network card and any other drivers in any order you wish.  You should disconnect your computer from the internet before starting the reinstallation of Windows along with all printers, scanners, cameras, etc...
