Dual boot
I have a dell xps 8700 and I'd like to create a dual boot system with two copies of win 8 - one on the existing HDD and one on a new SSD with a new copy of win 8. I have the SSD and win 8 OS from a computer that I will no longer use. I will deactivate the old computer Win 8 OS so that I can transfer it to the new SSD to install on the new Dell. I'd like the two HDD's to behave independently and to automatically boot to Dell HDD/Win 8 unless I press a keyboard button to bring up the two OS's for me to choose.
Is this possible?

There is no such thing as deactivation and moving windows to another machine.

Is there a website where I can get the instructions for how to do it?

See the Microsoft site below: they do allow transferring windows to a new computer.
