E770s Monitor Drivers

I wiped out my harddrive and in reinstalling everything, somehow I lost my driver for my monitor.  I can't find it on the CD for the monitor.  I tried to download the driver from Dell but the computer won't recognize it.  Any ideas?

What steps did you take to update the downloaded driver?

dottyme,

What operating system is on your computer, and what model Dimension are you using?

If you go to Control Panel|System|Device Manager and check the properties for your monitor I suspect you will find that the driver (from Microsoft) is already installed. If you are having problems with your display, you probably need to reinstall the driver for your graphics adapter.

I saved it to a 3x5 from work because I don't have the internet at home, because I can't get my monitor to work to accept the driver.

I put the floppy in the drive and tried to run it but I get a message that it cannot recognize the file.  It is a .exe file and I thought those would run by themselves.
