Hi Daniel,

This blue screen error is a result of hardware failure or some important files missing from the operating system.

To check the hardware functionality of the computer, let’s try the following steps,

  1. Power off the computer
  2. Restart the computer, tap F12 on Dell logo 2-3 times
  3. This will take you to One time boot menu
  4. From the list, select ‘Boot to utility partition’ using the down arrow keys, press ‘Enter’
  5. Click on the ‘Express test’ option
  6. Run the test, if you get an error code please make a note of it and continue testing.
  7. Please find the reference link for the error codes:
    http://dell.to/MNniAq

In case you are not able to run the hardware test by following the above steps, then try following steps:

  1. From the F12 boot menu list, choose ‘Hard drive Diagnostics’
  2. Run the test, if you get an error code please make a note of it and share the results with me.

Note: This test will be applicable for hard drive with which are 80GB or less than 80GB in size.

In case you are not able to run diagnostics using above two methods, use the drivers and utilities cd also called as Resource CD to run the tests.

  1. Power off the computer
  2. Restart the computer, tap F12 on Dell logo 2-3 times
  3. Insert the Drivers and Utilities Disc in the computer
  4. From the list, choose IDE/CD ROM drive
  5. Next, press enter key immediately when the message shows up ’Press any key to continue’
  6. On the main screen, click ‘Next’

  7. Click on ‘Diagnostics’

  8. Select ‘Express test’
  9. Run the test, if you get an error code please make a note of it and continue testing.
  10. Please refer to the link if any error code shows up
    http://dell.to/MNniAq

Please reply with the results.

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x0000000)

The system has been shutdown.

The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error. This error may have several causes. Among them are the following:

Mismatched system files have been installed.

A Service Pack installation has failed.

A backup program that is used to restore a hard disk did not correctly restore files that may have been in use.

An incompatible third-party program has been installed.

SpeedStop: this is exactly the error I receive when attempting the previous suggestion by Dell-Appu.  I will read the articles you suggested and attempt a reinstall.

Thank you.
