Error code 0145 - inspiron one

Question

My Inspiron One is not booting the operating system or reading drive C. I am able to enter setup and run diagnostics. I got this error message: Error code: 0145 Msg: Error Code 2000-0145 Msg: Hard drive 0 - self test did not complete Other than that all tests were clear. After performing all the tests it tells me to reboot and select proper boot device. Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. I am looking to change my computer soon, so also want to make sure my data is safe and can be transferred to the new device.

2000-0145 self test did not complete. Test result  'fail' Drive is dead or is blank with no data on it.
