Eudora or Email Program Other than Outlook Express

Is anyone using an email program other than Outlook Express? I recently switched to Dellnet and am very displeased that I must switch email programs. Dellnet Technical support has told me that they will only support Outlook express. I am considering cancelling Dellnet for this very reason. This is one of the reasons that I do not use AOL or another restrictive service.

Thanks for any pointers. Hopefully I am not the first person that has had trouble with this.

I tried to install and hook up Eudora Pro 4.0 and had numerous troubles which I blamed on my Local Area Network that was installed when I got PacBell's DSL (very fast) 'modem'. I assumed it was the DSL software or Eudora not knowing what to do without a phone number to dial, but now that you mention it, it could be Dell's fault.
I wanted anything but Outlook because I feel Microsoft is an easy target for virus-writers. This may not be true, but it is my feeling. Otherwise, Outlook works ok. I would like the mail arrival flag that Eudora has, though.

I had a very knowledgable person setting up our email connection. He, too, preferred to use Eudora, but contacted Dellnet ISP who informed him that they do not support Eudora and that was that. I am having one heck of a time getting our emails set up on Outlook Express. Suggestions?
