I wouldn't try to do anything with it, including trying to power it up, until you've had a technician look at it. For the most part water and computers don't mix very well.....
Cowboy Wisdom: The White House didn't just get a new team, it got a whole new language. President Bush brought with him many friends from Texas, and for anyone not born in the Lone Star State, the Texan accent and the cowboy colloquialisms can seem a bit strange. So here's a guide to a few of the more colorful expressions y'all might encounter over the next few years:
It's so dry the trees are bribin' the dogs = We really could use a little rain around here
Like Bob said your best bet is to have a techician look at it. With flood water your not only dealing with the water, but with the contaminants in the water like oil, dirt, grease, sewage, etc. Even after the water dries these contaminants are coating the electrical components and could short them out.
Have your computer checked by a technician. If he says it's hopeless, and you are willing to spend some time and effort with no guarantee that that your efforts will pay off, keep my email address and let me know. I have some experience with saving electronic items damaged by water and corrosive elements. You must do this as quickly as possible before oxidation begins, usually a matter of hours. Like I said, there are no guarantees, but if you have nothing to lose, you may want to give it a shot.

I would write that one off and call insurance company if business or homeownwer's insurance covers damage. If unit completely immersed, chance of recovery not good. Even if it comes back to life, chances are it will not last. Best hope is to get data recovered from hard drive and move on to new machine. Worst case is all data lost, still need new machine. Either way, looks like new computer in cards for near future. Might want to see if Dell can add sump pump to next order! Other option is move computer to higher ground! :)
